Event Details

During this virtual and in-person class, expectant parents will explore the “Understanding Your Newborn” Student Handbook which will be mailed to you. Topics covered during this 3 hour virtual or in person meeting will include newborn characteristics and behavior, sleep and feeding patterns, diapering and bathing demonstrations, comforting techniques, baby safety, when to call the doctor, transitioning to your new role as a parent, and a Q&A session. You will be asked to use a doll or rolled blanket as your “baby” while practicing hands on exercises as the instructor walks you through the skills. You will also be provided with access to an informative mobile app that will be a useful resource for new parents during the first months after baby arrives.

You must register online to secure your spot in class. After which, we will email you an invitation to a Teams meeting or a detailed email for in person class date and time.
