What You Need to Know About Coronavirus
During the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Los Angeles County Department of Health are monitoring the situation closely, providing hospitals with regular updates. USC Arcadia Hospital is also closely monitoring the situation locally and is prepared to care for those in need. COVID-19 Vaccinations
USC Arcadia Hospital is not offering COVID-19 vaccinations to the public at this time. To register for a vaccine, please go to the internet for more information and log in to myturn.ca.gov or contact your local pharmacy.
How to protect yourself and prevent spreading the virus:
- Avoid public gatherings or groups of more than 9 people and remain at least 6 feet apart from others.
- Wash your hands frequently with soap & water for at least 20 seconds.
- If soap & water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
- Avoid touching your face.
- When you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands.
- Clean and disinfect frequently-touched objects and surfaces.
- Avoid close contact with anyone who is sick.
- Get a flu shot.
Symptoms of COVID-19:
- Fever >100.4° F. (or >38° C.)
- Cough
- Shortness of breath
- Difficulty breathing
If you are sick:
- Stay home. If symptoms are severe, call your doctor or visit an urgent care center or emergency room. Be certain to inform your doctor or the urgent care/ER receptionist that you are presenting with symptoms of COVID-19.

Have you recently traveled?

If you have traveled internationally in the past 14 days or come in contact
with someone who is sick and traveled recently internationally:
- Stay home and call your doctor
- If you visit a doctor’s office, urgent care center or hospital emergency room, please notify the staff about your travel history (or your contact with others who are sick) and put on a mask.
