President / CEO

Mr. Mmeje oversees all management and operations of the hospital, including Board development, corporate compliance, strategic plan implementation and fundraising.

ROBERT “ROBBIE” SHAPPLEY

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Shappley is responsible for the hospital’s campus and facilities development, capital budget, hospital operations, cardiovascular services, perioperative services, clinical laboratory, respiratory therapy, radiology and imaging services, environmental services, and nutritional services.

B.S. CHANDRASEKHAR, MD

Senior VP / Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Chandrasekhar administratively oversees medical staff services, performance improvement, infection control and safety, pharmacy. Additionally, he is a Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine at USC.

VERONICA VASQUEZ-MONTEZ, MD

Associate Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Vasquez-Montez serves as associate CMO where she works closely with the chief quality officer and hospital team to continuously improve the safety, effectiveness, efficiency, patient­-centeredness, equity and timeliness of health care service to all patients. Dr. Vasquez-Montez also serves as clinical and medical director of the hospital emergency department.

COLLEEN WILCOXEN, RN

Chief Nursing Officer

Ms. Wilcoxen provides leadership, direction and administration of direct patient care activities, nursing practice and nursing education and development across the organization. She is responsible for supporting and modeling a culture focused on employee engagement, quality, patient safety, fiscal responsibility and the overall patient experience.

ABELARDO “ABE” NÚÑEZ

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Nunez is responsible for all aspects of the hospital's finances with direct responsibility over Finance, Accounting, Decision Support & Budget, Case Management and Patient Access. In addition, he coordinates with the Keck Leaders responsible for Revenue Cycle, Supply Chain, Financial Analysis & Budgeting, Managed Care Contracting, Government Reimbursement and Corporate Compliance.

CLIFFORD DANIELS

Senior VP / Chief Strategy & Integration Officer

Mr. Daniels is responsible for strategic planning, business development, market forecasting, physician recruitment, and service line development. He oversees marketing & communications, public relations, community outreach, senior care and external education programs.

LISA JOHNSON, RN

Chief Quality Officer

Ms. Johnson is responsible for oversight and coordination of quality improvement, infection prevention, licensing, and accreditation. She also holds executive responsibility for our centers of excellence, including our stroke program, orthopedic institute, bariatric institute, and our oncology service line, as well as for service excellence and volunteer services.

ROBERT BEGG

VP / Chief Human Resources Officer

Mr. Begg is responsible for oversight of our human resources and workforce initiatives, clinical education and staff development, occupational health, spiritual care and the Kathy Kredel Nursery School.

ALEN OGANESYAN

Chief Information Officer

Mr. Oganesyan oversees all things related to information technology, including applications, infrastructure, analytics, and informatics. In addition, he oversees IT functions that include business systems, data analytics, digital transformation, and integration in his role as associate chief information officer with Keck Medicine of USC health system.

JYNETTE QUERUBIN, RN

Director of Transformation & Strategic Projects and Chief of Staff

Ms. Querubin leads and oversees transformation projects aligned with the hospital and health system’s strategic goals while also functioning as chief of staff for the office of president & CEO of the hospital.

SANDRA CHEN LAU

President / USC Arcadia Hospital Foundation

Ms. Chen Lau oversees all aspects of fundraising programs, budget and operations for the USC Arcadia Hospital Foundation.
